| Artist Profiles Jacquie Jones Jacquie Jones is widely recognized as one of the foremost artists in her specialist field of equestrian art. She has inside knowledge of the racing scene having worked for top flat race trainer Sir Henry Cecil as a rider and stable girl. She spent every free moment sketching the beautiful thoroughbreds in her care with increasing skill and passion. Although a self taught artist she has a natural talent for composition, her depiction of horses in action is superb. Her stylish watercolor drawings are somewhat reminiscent of the French artist Raoul Duffey who also painted the fashionable racing scene. Her horse portraiture is expressive. She has great empathy with horses and manages to catch the individual characteristics, for example between warm and cold bloods. Jacquie’s work can be seen in many important collections throughout the world including that of the British Royal Family, The Marchioness of Taverstock, Lord Howland, Sir Henry Cecil and the Royal Family in Dubai who own twelve of her paintings. In 1998 Jacquie was appointed the first artist in residence to the National Horse Racing Museum in Newmarket and has had several successful exhibitions in Dubai and the UAE. James Richard Tucker James is a professional artist working from his home studio in ESSEX.
